Internet Marketing – Do What You Love!
In my time online as an Internet Marketer I’ve created hundreds of websites on hundreds of different niches: from Bail Bonds to Liposuction to Tattoos and more. I’ve created so many content sites that it makes my brain hurt. I couldn’t even start to list the many different niches I’ve worked in.
- It took days and days of studying and learning
- Each content site had to be promoted differently
- I had to maintain focus and not let my mind wonder or be distracted
- It could get awfully frustrating and boring creating website after website
So where am I going with all this? Website after website I started to notice something. The only websites that did well for me were the websites I enjoyed creating and were in profitable topics that kept my attention and I was extremely passionate about.
Work from Home, Making Money and Having Fun Doing it!
Creating all those content sites took up so much of my time through learning all about the specific niche and creating quality content for the website. I found myself doing monotonous boring work that repeated itself day after day.
I thought to myself ”If I wanted to do something boring, I would’ve stayed at my 9-5 job!”
Niche Marketing Should be Fun and Interesting
The world of Internet Marketing can be extremely hard work which involves lots of analytics, tests, trials, spending and so forth and so forth, but that doesn’t mean you have to choose niches that are boring to you.
In addition if the topic is boring to you, you sure ain’t goin’ to sell it to anyone else!
After a while, I stopped promoting all the boring websites that I did not care for and started creating a line of websites of stuff that I was totally enveloped in. Almost 100% of the time, if you are CRAZY about a specific niche, then there is most likely a profitable market if you know what to look for. Plus, you’ll be much, much more likely to sell someone on an idea or concept if you, yourself are passionate about it.
If we wanted to do boring monotonous work that we can’t put our souls in to it, then we shouldn’t be in the entreprenuer business and we definitely shouldn’t be in the Internet Marketing business!
Just a little word of caution if you find yourself doing the rinse, lather, repeat of subject matter and/or niches that do not entertain you. If you aren’t entertained, then your visitors will likely not be either.
Just another Internet Marketing Strategy to think about next time you take on a new niche! Niche Marketing should be fun… atleast that’s how I feel. Whether you are in to affiliate marketing or creating your own information product, if you are an Internet Marketer and you own your own online business while working from home and making money online why not enjoy it and have fun doing what you love to do?
